One of two sacraments for Lutherans, the other being Baptism. In Holy Communion, also called the Eucharist, Lutherans recall the saving acts of God through Word, bread and wine, and are connected with Christ and with Christians of all times and places. In this sacrament we are fed with the Body and Blood of Christ.
At Bethany, all baptized Christians are welcome to commune. We offer communion at each of our regularly scheduled worship services. New members, recently baptized Christians, and those considering baptism can talk to a Pastor about communion questions. Our church offers First Communion instruction for children starting in 3rd Grade, parents with younger children accustomed to taking communion can also speak to the pastor. Listen to info on communion on the podcast.
